An engraved silver marriage medal
An engraved silver marriage medal depicting an elegant couple, their hands clasped, surrounded with a rhyming inscription:
“De heer wil ons geleiden, wat Godt te saemen voeght dat kan geen mensche scheiden 1676”
The reverse is engraved with the failed siege of Groningen in 1672 by “Bommen Berend”, inscribed with:
“Groningen is belegert den 9 july verlaten d 17aug 1672”
